David was born and raised in Central Florida, and has over 13 years experience in live sports, broadcast, video production, post-production and corporate theater. Following graduation from Valencia College’s Film Program, David interned with the Orlando Magic and continued with the organization for 5 years as a game night employee. With the Orlando Magic he held the position of replay operator working with 2 and 4 camera EVS replay systems. In this role he edited highlight packages for air during the in-arena program. Concurrently, he worked with the City of Orlando Events department handling myriad of positions on their live production team. In this roll David worked on Sony and Grass Valley camera control units and with several graphics playback systems at the Amway Center.
In 2004, David started working as an Assistant Editor on several broadcast TV shows at World Productions (now Bonnier Corp.). David quickly moved into the role of segment producer/editor, where he was charged with procuring imagery and products to capture that would tell the scripted story. At Bonnier Corp, he continue to working on the TV show Sport Fishing TV and work on many different lifestyle and outdoor sports content for brands like Wakeboarding, Waterski, Popular Science, and Boating magazines. David continues to work with many clients in the post-production field as a video editor and motion graphics designer to develop from concept to final product his client’s vision. David helps to turn his clients projects into a high resolution marketing strategies that will speak directly to their target audiences be that broadcast, corporate theater, web marketing, or digital signage. David also helps document his client’s corporate events that are produced onsite for immediate delivery under very tight deadlines. Some of the tools David uses are Adobe CC, DaVinci Resolve, FCP7, and Avid as well as Cinema 4d, to make compelling visuals for clients like Marriott Golf Academy, Ford Motor Company, Tigé boats, PWC, Clear Channel and more. David is also an accomplished videographer, with great eye for composition and telling a visual story.
After leaving the Orlando Magic, he moved into corporate theater, working from video assistant of the video crew and expanding to video lead on many large corporate tours for clients like AT&T, HP and many others. In the role of video lead David is put in charge of designing the appropriate video systems, aligning, converging, blending projectors, as well as doing multi-screen switching and managing video records. This position has had him managing crews all over North America, Europe and Asia. David is also certified in Analog Ways and Barco video switching systems and has used many of the Nutek Tricaster systems for live events and webcasts.
